FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 10, 2025

TAMPA, FL — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay is pleased to announce Robyn L. Ostrem as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective August 4, 2025. A seasoned nonprofit leader with a lifelong passion for youth development, Ostrem brings more than 25+ years of experience and a people-first approach to her new role.

Most recently, Ostrem served as Senior Vice President of Operations at the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA, where she led a $31 million portfolio spanning 14 locations. She is known for building strong teams, expanding community partnerships, and driving mission-aligned results.

Her appointment also marks a return to the Big Brothers Big Sisters family. From 2000 to 2013, she served as Executive Director of BBBS of McHenry County in Illinois, where she significantly expanded the agency’s reach and sustainability and was matched with a Little Sister as a volunteer mentor. “Big Brothers Big Sisters is where I found my purpose,” Ostrem shared. “I’m honored to return and help write the next chapter—one filled with connection, impact, and opportunity for every child.”

BBBS of Tampa Bay serves more than 2,500 children annually across nine counties through one-to-one mentoring relationships, group mentoring and specialized programs that build confidence, resilience, and long-term success. Ostrem will step into a strong and mission-driven organization that has continued to grow and evolve thanks to the dedication of its staff, board, and volunteer network.

The organization also extends its thanks to outgoing CEO Chris Letsos for his contributions during his tenure and wishes him the best in his next chapter.

“We’re excited to welcome Robyn, whose experience and heart for mentorship will guide us forward,” said the Board of Directors. “She joins an outstanding team already doing life-changing work throughout the Tampa Bay region.”
