About Dr. Phylicia G. Taylor
Dr. Taylor currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Management in the School of Business and Industry at Florida A&M University, specializing in Marketing and Management. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Jackson State University, along with an MBA and B.S. in Accounting from Florida A&M University. In addition, Dr. Taylor is a certified Gallup Strengths Coach and Small Business Consultant.

Dr. Taylor’s extensive background in higher education, business, and mentorship adds an invaluable perspective to our statewide leadership.
Her connection to Florida A&M University, a leading HBCU, also creates opportunities for us to deepen our outreach to young professionals and students who can serve as role models. Across Florida, our greatest need is recruiting more men of color as mentors because so many young boys on our waitlist are hoping for someone who looks like them and understands their journey. Dr. Taylor’s voice and influence will help us open new pathways to ignite that next generation of Bigs.
